“Andrea Draper’s photomontages,

collages and remixed moving images are a guerrilla style, asymmetric takeover of popular media depictions of women. Draper transforms the objectified subject into images of self-possession and agency. Glamorous, sex positive, and alluring, the female subjects spill over with liquid emotion, aura fields and animal totems, accompanied always by 80s dance tracks, drum n bass, synth pop and new wave hypno loops. Whether encountered on Instagram or on the underbelly of a flyover motorway, Draper’s work is sure to surprise.“
